Getting Your Home Ready for Professional Painters
Hiring professional painters is a great way to ensure a flawless finish, and at Larry’s Painting, we make the process as smooth and effortless as possible. With just a few simple steps, you can help us get started quickly and efficiently.
1. Choose Your Colors and Finishes
Before any painting begins, decide on your preferred colors, finishes, and any special requests like accent walls or unique textures. Our team is happy to help!
2. Schedule Your Painting Dates
Work with us to set a timeline that fits your needs. We’ll confirm project dates and discuss any specific access requirements to ensure everything runs smoothly.
3. Clear the Room as Much as Possible
Remove furniture, décor, and fragile items from the room. If large furniture pieces can’t be moved, simply push them to the center, and we’ll handle covering them with protective plastic sheeting.
OR
Remove fragile or valuable items from the room. For larger furniture pieces that obstruct the painting areas, our team will handle moving them and ensuring they are properly covered with protective plastic sheeting upon arrival. For extremely difficult to move items, the customer is responsible for its movement, to allow our painter’s access.
4. Remove Wall Hangings and Window Treatments
Take down artwork, mirrors, and other wall-mounted décor. For windows, remove curtains or blinds so our team has full access to the trim and walls, where possible.
5. Leave the Cleaning and Repairs to Us
For excessively dirty areas, please sweep or wipe to remove dirt and grime before our team arrives. Our team will do a final preparation of the surfaces to be painted.
No need to patch holes—our team at Larry’s Painting handles all surface preparation, including final cleaning, sanding and repairs. We ensure the walls are in perfect condition before applying paint.
6. Ensure Easy Access
Make sure hallways and doorways are clear so our painters can move freely and set up equipment. Let us know if there are any specific access instructions, especially if you won’t be home during the project.
7. Protect Pets and Children
For safety, consider keeping pets and young children in another area of the home while we work. This helps prevent any accidental contact with wet paint or equipment.
Let’s Get Started
At Larry’s Painting, we strive to make your painting project as stress-free as possible. By choosing your colours, scheduling dates, and clearing out key areas, you’ll set the stage for a smooth process while we handle all the prep and painting. Get ready to enjoy your beautifully refreshed space—without lifting a finger.
